Today I will be doing my first baking post (yay)! I will be showing you something that you probably shouldn't see as it is soooo yummy. Whenever my family feels like something chocolatey and gooey and oh-so yum, we make this!
So, here is the super-duper recipe for chocolate and oat slice!
eggs // chocolate chips // butter // condensed milk // brown sugar // self raising flour
not in the picture: vanilla essence // rolled oats
1 // preheat the oven to 180C.
2 // Measure out 250g of butter, then melt completely.
3 // combine with 440g of brown sugar, in a large bowl.
4 // In a mug, lightly beat 2 eggs.
5 // Add to sugar and butter mixture, along with 2 tsp vanilla essence. Mix it!
6 // Add in 375g sifted flour, and 270g rolled oats. Gently mix.
7 // Divide in half, and put one half of the mixture in the bottom of a pan.
8 // For the filling: combine 300g chocolate chips, 395g can of condensed milk and 30g of butter into a pan, and stir over low heat until melted.
9 // Pour filling over the base and make sure the base is fully covered.
10 // Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture over the top.
11 // Bake for 30 mins or until brown. Wait to cool before slicing.
uurrgghhh look at that yumminess!
Have a go at making this because it is truly yummy!
