hello! I guess I wanted to just talk in a blog post because it has been a while. I thought I needed an excuse but oh well - read if you want or just look at the picture!
I wanted to update you all a little bit and also find out how you are all doing - since I would love to know! I am super excited because it's SO close to Christmas; I have my usual DIY freebie Christmas wrapping paper coming out soon, because I have done it for 2 years in a row now (2013, 2014) so I just have to make it 3 and do another one this year! I'm currently brainstorming patterns etc. so you have that to look forward to!
So, first of all, school has finished for the year. Exams were hard and stressful, and now we have the painful wait for results in January. I hope everyone did well, some of my exams were very different to the content I had learnt, but that's not my fault right?! I'm so relieved it's over because holidays are the best.
I have been reading a lot of books lately, simply because I enjoy it so much. It's pretty bad though, because if it's a good book I do nothing but read it and finish it in a matter of hours. Some books I have read recently include The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson, Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher and The Riverman by Aaron Starmer. I definitely recommend them all! I am just about to start reading Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella too - do let me know if you have any more recommendations.
I have also been doing a few projects for my room, that are quite boring actually. I cut my desk top shorter, because originally it is a door so it was really really long. I finally got around to painting it white too. I found some boxes (that are usually expensive, I think they were cheap because they were bright red) and covered them in white paper. I bought an A3 and A4 size to sit on the shelves of my trestles. Go storage!
Talking about a few little purchases - I got my hands on the new Kinfolk book: The Kinfolk Home, and it is absolutely gorgeous! It just makes me want to change my room around again and again and again. And, I was also very adventurous by my standards and bought a blue 2016 diary! I'm pretty wild, I know. I got this one from Kikki.K and I gotta say, I love it!
And music! Where do I begin? I'm just loving Troye Sivan's new album Blue Neighbourhood, especially the song 'for him.' - it is so so cute! You can listen to my spotify playlist here
I want to start doing youtube videos again, so tell me what you want to see! I will try to get around to it, but please do let me know any suggestions you have for Christmassy blog posts or just blog posts in general - I would love to know!
PS. I'm really sorry about the comment situation. Before I knew I was going to transfer to Squarespace, I thought it would be a good idea to embed Disqus commenting onto my Blogger blog - there was an error with syncing my past comments, so not all of them were there. Then when I transferred to Squarespace, obviously my comments synced but then I wanted to continue with Disqus, but all my comments disappeared. So now the comments on about 7 of my most recent posts are gone which is really sad but oh well :(
